Merry Christmas!

We had the merriest of Christmases this year. A truly magical one! The kids had two full weeks off from school so we went south to see grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for a little while down there. Then we came back up in time for our first sweet little Christmas as a family of five.

 The excitement of stockings!

The kids took turns delighting in their stockings and then they opened Landie's for her.
Arlo gets in on the action every year, tearing apart his catnip filled toy. :)
Lo and behold, Parker's prayers came through and we had our own mini white Christmas!
Opening Santa's present to them. A book about chickens with a clue in it...

Imagine our surprise when we finally looked out back and Santa had managed to fit a chicken coop in his sleigh!
Our made gift for them this year. Pillow beds. They were a HIT!

Evie's dreams came true and she got her beloved American Girl Doll! Carabelle goes everywhere with us now.

Carabelle came with a lot of accessories and her own suitcase full of clothes, so by the time Everly was finished with her opening extravaganza, Parker was starting to feel a little hurt. On to his present! Which wasn't nearly as big. Or in a big box...

Excitement! Confusion! All the feelings! Out to the yard...

 Burying his little present.

Heading back out after shouting "I believe in the miracle of Christmas!" and to what to our wondering eyes did appear?

Evie got some gel pens to create her masterpieces on a window :)

Landie Mae finally up from her nap, just in time for a new pair of shoes.
My favorite gift of Evie's...because she treats everyone to foot massages and pedicures :)
