Happy Mother's Day Indeed!

We spent a blissful day at Semiahmoo. So blissful that it started with brunch on the water and then lasted the next eight hours through dinner, beach digging, glass hunting, geocaching, and relaxing by the water. Jeremy knows me so well. This is one of my favorite places. :)

Star.

Evie's class had a musical performance a couple of weeks ago. She was an amazing, sweet sounding, talented, effervescent grape. The most perfect grape I've ever seen.

I should also note that the same day, I sent her to school with a well balanced lunch, packed with love. And when she went to eat her favorite hardboiled egg, apparently I sent her to school with a raw one. I also made the day of all my friends who work at the school who enjoyed my forgetful mom moment. :) Alas, Evie got to wear clothes from the lost and found for the perfect grape performance. Go me!

Senior Brown Belt

Parker has been going to tae kwon do twice a week for a year and a half and working so hard towards his black belt. He officially has only 4 more belts to go! For his last 4 tests he's had to break a board in order to pass. So proud of this guy!!

Puppy!

We puppysat the CUTEST little puppy...

Art Show.

Parker and Evie's dearest little friends had an art birthday party a little while ago. It was at their dad's art gallery and the kids painted a piece while they were there and also brought some work from home for the showing. After a couple of hours of creating, their art was hung and all the parents came in to view and purchase. :) It was so cute!!

SIX!!

Where did the time go?! Evie wanted a sweet little mermaid pool party for all of her mermaid friends. This was her first birthday party out of our house and those sweet little girls were so cute swimming in the pool!

All these moments.

In my effort to catch up and still record all these little moments of childhood for the kids when they grow up, I compiled a bunch of miscellaneous snapshots from our days. Often times, these are my favorites.

Calling all fairies...

One of these gorgeous early spring days I broke out all the fairy house goodies I could find and let the kids go wild with a glue gun while I gardened. I have to say, after four hours and a lot of weeding, it was amazing! So proud of my little creators.

Happy Easter

This year we laid pretty low because Parker wound up with a horrible ear infection on Easter Sunday. Luckily our next door neighbor is a doctor and she ran over and did a little exam, confirmed the horrible ear infection, wrote him a prescription and was on her way by 8:30am. An eventful day! He wasn't well enough to go anywhere so we just ran over to grandma and grandpa's down the road for a quick egg hunt.

We hid the eggs in really difficult places this year to make it fun for the kids to really hunt for them. Evie spotted this one high in a tree right away and didn't hesitate to jump from the rocks to the trunk to start shaking that egg out of it. We could not stop laughing!

Number 6!

We celebrated Evie's birthday this year by giving her a choice of whatever she wanted to do! Her requests? Bake her cupcakes, go out for pizza, and play family games in our living room. This sweet little girl enjoys just being together. Right after my own heart.
