We love Frog and Toad around here. Delightful stories about friendship with humor throughout. So, when Grandma heard the Bellingham Theatre Guild had a Frog and Toad play going on this weekend, she surprised the kids and I with tickets and we all leaped for joy. The kids have never been to an actual play before. Everly kept asking where the screen was and when the Playdate was going to begin. Parker was confused about how people could be frogs and why they would be dancing and singing. And then, announcements were made, the lights dimmed and the kids sat mesmerized as Frog and Toad and all their friends sang through four seasons, snow falling softly on the audience at one point, swimming and broken alarm clocks. They laughed, snuggled in and moved to the edge of their seats. It was grand.
