Silver Star!

We counted down the days this year until we got to go back to Silver Star as a family! This is one of the kids' favorite places in the world and we couldn't go last year because Parker wasn't approved to travel or ski. This year he was approved by his team just in time, but then we had such a crummy year for snow! Imagine our delight when Silver Star was not only still open, but had more snow than anywhere else.

We spent 8 days skiing our hearts out from open to close, then we made our way over to the inner tubes a few nights (actually the kids made their way over and towed their exhausted parents behind them), and the icing on top was mini snowmobiles for this kids. :) Yes - they give them three minutes of instructions, such as how to stop and how to steer and then let them take off. On their own. With a key and a large motor. Oh, my gosh - it was hilarious!

Evie and I enjoying our hot tub on the deck.

We skied almost all of our days in the sun!

Two inner tubing happy campers. One of the days the guy said the track was about 40mph. I was seriously unnerved. And the kids were unphased.

 Right before take off!

Yes, we rode these enough that it actually got dark and then they rode around by Christmas lights. Perfection!

There is one little cafe at the top of the mountain that serves the BEST cinnamon rolls so we made our way there most days so the kids could fuel up on rolls and hot chocolate before they skied another six hours. ;)

Parker enjoying his well deserved treat.
