Day 5 . The Run and The Snorkel

In keeping up with Parker's amazing running since his diagnosis, we signed up for the Kona 5k since it happened to be going on while we're here, and it happened to be running right outside our condo along the beach! This was BY FAR the hardest run we have done! It started just after 6am due to the heat, and Jer pushing a jogger up and down hills in 85 degree weather is no small task. No wonder we all got giant medals! And Parker placed 4th in his age group (!!) and we placed 159th out of 520 (!!) which made us all feel pretty darn good! ....after we sprawled in the grass and recovered for an hour so we could talk  :)

Since we were back and recovered by8:30 am, we hit up Two Step for a little snorkeling. This is a little place the locals go and it's said to be some of the best snorkeling in the world. It did not disappoint. We spent the day there checking out hundreds upon hundreds of different kinds of tropical fish. I could snorkel for daaaaayys.
