Before today arrived, before the usual craziness that comes with two working parents who work opposite schedules, before an upcoming week filled with doctors appointments, dentists, gymnastics, swimming lessons, and packing for a trip, we celebrated a hot day in ALL the best ways possible...
Ice cream before lunch
A picnic at the park.
Spray parks.
With lots of water.
Actually, hours of water...
Relaxing with friends. (Don't mind the shirtless girl here - another part of summer??)
Slip 'n slides when we should be in bed.
And finally, some relaxing on the couch with a little Madeline while we waited for the house to cool down. You will notice that the kids chose to wear their winter jammies because their lightweight, short sleeved summer jams "Feel weird! That's not cozy! How will our arms stay warm! Those aren't jammies! We CANNOT sleep in those!". Never mind, it's 90 degrees in their rooms. I feel their pain. I MUST sleep under a blanket at all times or I feel weird too. Wonder where they got it from?!
