The day usually begins with icecream.
Then we trecked on down to Kiholo Bay. Just out of the woods and this is the view.
First stop, The Queen's Bath. It's a spring fed lava tub with cool, fresh, clear water in it. It is amazing. Absolutely stunning, unexpected and so fun to swim in.
There's a deep cave that continues for a long ways. Some of the locals said they've never made it to the end because they get so creeped out.
But this first little arch led to a second bath, so despite the tight fit in a couple of spots, Parks went right under like it was no problem.
Everly was not so sure about the bath, so she joined us for a just a few minutes and preferred to just Vanna White it at the top with the little sign the locals put up as a reminder of it's sacred past.
Onward. Around the point, past Paul Mitchell's house and to the bay!
We found a crusty old puffer fish on the beach, much to the kids' delight.
Then we ran into a herd of baby goats. No joke.
Then we saw a ton of turtles and my heart exploded with joy!
And a local's shanty by the sea. Not as impressive as the nearby mansions, but so much more full of life and character. This little beach house was so cool
Kiholo Bay!
I loved the water. The kids loved climbing all over the lava fields and exploring.
A sweet little picnic spot. I don't have any photos of Parker here because he literally jumped in the bay, swam off and went cliff jumping over and over. Love that kid.
I love all of this. I was wondering what you all have been up to; but, I haven't checked my Bloglovin acct to see you had been posting.
