Ireland's 8th month.

Well, it's official. This little baby is getting bigger. Landie Mae has two teeth, she likes to sit, she's starting to lean forward and she's learned all sorts of new tricks. She starting to mimic us and can shake her head, splash in the water and grab everything in sight. She's especially fond of her brother and sister, our cat Arlo and the 8 chickens. :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Jeremy worked on the actual Mother's Day so last weekend we went for a hike and a picnic as an early celebration. :) We made our way to the secret Racehorse Falls and explored the day away! Then we made our way up a mountain and through the bushes to an old landslide that unearthed a bunch of fossils so we could go fossil hunting. How fun!

We went up to the middle fork of the Nooksack and climbed our way down to a little secret spot on the banks to enjoy a picnic and some time exploring. We found a pretty wonderful little spot!

 Parker invented a new game called "hot stone massage". It's my favorite game.

Slumber party

Staying at a hotel is such a special treat and something we've only done one other time with the kids in 9 years! So they were beside themselves with excitement when we surprised them by checking in to a room at our favorite spot - Semiahmoo.

We played on the sandy beach, checked in, went to the pool to swim our buns off, ate dinner on the patio next to the fire with a wine glass in our hands (us, not them), roasted marshmallows at the beach fire, watched a movie in bed, woke up to coffee and more pool time and drove home. Phew! What a perfect night away.
